How are Oral Scans Used?
Our intra-oral scanner is used to map out the inside of your mouth. We can study everything from the shape and alignment of your teeth to the impressions of your bite. This helps us determine the best course of action for your treatment.
Since we use the latest technology in our office, you can say goodbye to sticky, messy, and uncomfortable putty, which used to be used to make impressions of your bite and teeth. Since intra-oral scanners accurately and comprehensively map your mouth, we have phased out the use of putty — which should make many dental and orthodontic patients relieved.

What Happens During an Intra-Oral Scan?
During an intra-oral scan, you will relax in the dental chair while we quickly and easily take images of the inside of your mouth. Once complete, we will view the images together so that you have a good understanding of what needs to be done to make your smile healthier.
From there, we can show you the process of your treatment, including what your teeth and smile will look like once your plan has been seen through to completion.
